Server

I have used multiple server operating systems over the last few years including CasaOS, Ubuntu Server, and many others. However Unraid was my favourite one out of the bunch and I kept using it.

I have been using Unraid for over two years now as my server operating system, I have learned the challenges of maintaining a server throughout these last few years.

I mainly use my server to self host games such as Minecraft, Terraria, GTA, Ark Survival Evolved, and many more.. List of Games

Learning about Pterodactyl and working out how it functions was a pain however it paid off once I got the hang of it, and now I can use an industry standard open source game server management tool.

Being able to create and work with Pterodactyl is a massive step towards being independent.

I also self hosted my discord bot from this server by creating a docker container.

I use Cloudflare Tunnel so I can access my server even when I'm outside my Network, it is recommended to have a VPN for such occasions so I also have two VPNs; Zerotier One and Tailscale set up for it, I also use Zerotier One to be able to let other people outside my Network connect to my game servers without PortForwarding.
